New Bad Weather Policy

The Pack's leadership voted in February to adopt a new policy as follows: "CANCELLATIONS DUE TO WEATHER: When School District 197 cancels afternoon and evening activities, Scout activities will also be cancelled. Exceptions may be made for trips or other special events."

Reasons given by the Pack's leaders were as follows:
1) Consistency with other school and area extra-curricular activities.
2) Consistency for families with Scouts in more than one Den.
3) Bad weather travel can be challenging to all families, taking into consideration lenthy post-work commutes, childcare arrangements, etc.
5) Safety first AND Be Prepared.
